The all-conquering Birchall brothers Ben & Tom, who have proven nigh on unbeatable in recent years, will lead the 3Wheeling.Media Sidecar entry away at TT 2022, as the legendary Mansfield pairing carry again the coveted number 1 plate.
With seven wins from eight starts over the last four TT meetings, allied to lap records, race records, and an outstandingly huge will to win, it’s fair to say it’s going to take special performances from their fellow anticipated front runners, to stop them upping their TT winning resume in June.
Holder of the two plate behind the Haith supported Birchalls are persistent competitive rival John Holden and Mountain Course debutant Jason Pitt.
Holden/Pitt compete under the Barnes Racing banner whilst three plate holders are the Anglo/French pairing of World Sidecars legend, former TT winner Tim Reeves and another TT newcomer Kevin Rousseau.
Start numbers four and five behind Rich Energy Bonovo Action Racing backed Reeves/Rousseau are held by a mix of iconic three wheeling prowess, new wave talent.
The four plate has been assigned to 17 times winner Dave Molyneux, who links up for the first time with Beverley’s Daryl Gibson, racing already proven 890cc KTM powered machinery.
Next scheduled to speed down Glencrutchery Road are Pete Founds/Jevan Walmsley.
Founds/Walmsley enjoy the support of notable Sidecar racing first-timers, British Superbike race winners FHO Racing.
P6 on the starting order is another Yamaha powered duo, Spartan Automotive sponsored Alan Founds/Jake Lowther.
Lightning quick TT newcomers in 2019, the Crowe brothers Ryan & Callum (7), now Honda powered are widely tipped to impress.
Whilst the remainder of the ten seeded driver/passenger crews feature Lewis Blackstock/Patrick Rosney (8), previous winners Conrad Harrison/Andy Winkle (9) and fellow TT stalwarts Gary Bryan/Phil Hyde (10).
